The bottom or base notes are made up of stronger scents: long-lasting leathers, woods, tobacco, and heavy spices such as peppers and cloves.

Now that it is time to buy the men’s fragrance that you need, remember not to buy a fragrance after just smelling the fragrance on someone or just smelling a sample sprayed on a scent card. Usually, the scent changes after it matures. And importantly, all fragrances do not smell the same on all people. The smell created from fragrances is a result of a basic chemical reaction between an individual and the fragrance once it is applied. Because each person has different body chemistry, when the men’s fragrance is applied, the “scent” may be slightly different than someone else who wears the same fragrance.

The other type of fragrance for men is an aftershave. It is what can be used when a gentleman finish shaving by applying on the area that has been shaved. Even though aftershave may not be the fragrances that directly design for use as a fragrance, but it is used to maintain moisture and condition of the skin and this is the main purpose of aftershave.

However, aftershave is considered as one of the types of men’s fragrance as it provides good and attractive scent and could be very long lasting. Therefore, many of aftershave manufacturers try to make aftershave to be more than what is used for maintaining skin condition, by adding scent into the liquid. So now aftershave is one of the most popular fragrances for men because they do not have to buy additional perfume or cologne but just use quality aftershave. In all, no matter which type of men’s fragrance that you are using or planning to have one. It is necessary to know the difference of each type of them in order to choose the type that most fit to you.
